Google Ads suspension linked to another account
Google Ads documentation › Account Issues › Account Suspensions
A related-account suspension notice concerns an association identified by Google. The task is to document the real relationships and relevant enforcement history, rather than guessing that one shared detail proves the entire reason.
Confirm the issue
- List current and previously managed advertising accounts relevant to the business.
- Record the owner, payer and manager for each relevant account.
- Identify any suspension referred to in the notification.
- Keep agency transitions and legitimate business relationships documented.
Review and correction workflow
Prepare a relationship map that another reviewer can understand. Distinguish ownership from agency access and payment administration. If a related account has an unresolved decision, identify its status and the appropriate owner instead of concealing the relationship.
Use the affected account’s appeal instructions and explain the facts supported by your records. Do not create substitute accounts to continue suspended advertising. Changes intended to hide a relationship can create a separate circumvention concern.
Illustrative review example
A company changes agencies but an older advertising account remains unresolved. The review file should explain which business owned each account and who handled it, rather than assuming that removing a manager answers every question.
Does sharing an agency automatically prove a violation?
No individual shared detail is enough for an outside observer to establish Google’s full reasoning. Use the actual notice and accurate relationship evidence.
Verify the outcome
Keep the original notice, the evidence reviewed and the action taken in one dated record. Confirm the resulting status in the affected account or item. A completed internal checklist is evidence of your review; it does not override Google’s decision.
Related checks and next steps
Compare multiple-account abuse when the notice concerns enforcement evasion. Use appeal evidence preparation to explain legitimate account relationships clearly.
