Eligible & Eligible (Limited)
Eligible and Eligible (limited) describe serving eligibility, but the meaning depends on where the label appears. Read the entity and its detailed explanation together: an ad-level policy limitation is different from a campaign-level budget or bidding constraint.
This category is part of Review & Eligibility in our Google Ads documentation. Use it to distinguish the issue type before choosing a detailed guide.
What this category covers
This category explains reviewed ads that can serve, ads with policy-related restrictions, and situations where an eligible item still receives no impressions. Eligibility is one condition of delivery. It does not establish that the campaign will enter every auction or generate traffic.
Separate the ad from the campaign
Google’s ad-status guidance distinguishes an eligible ad from an ad limited by policy. Campaign and bid-strategy reports have their own status meanings. Record the page and item where the label appears before interpreting it. A screenshot without the entity name can hide this distinction.
Build an eligibility review record
Recommended fields are the customer ID, campaign, ad or asset ID, exact status, policy details and date checked. Also record campaign enablement, schedule, targeting and whether any account or billing alert is present. These are diagnostic observations, not proof that each item is a policy violation.
How to use the detailed guides
Start with the detailed restriction when a policy is named. For eligible ads without delivery, investigate the campaign and auction conditions rather than rewriting compliant copy by default. Keep an observation period and a change log so improvements can be assessed against the same filters and dates.
Category review checklist
- Identify whether the label belongs to an ad, asset, campaign or bid strategy.
- Read the policy explanation instead of inferring the reason from the word limited.
- Compare delivery metrics over an appropriate date range.
- Check related account and billing alerts separately.
