Google Ads false advertiser verification information
Google Ads documentation › Policy Issues › Circumventing Systems & Policy Evasion
False advertiser-verification information concerns inaccurate or fraudulent representations in the verification process. It is different from a routine task failure caused by an unreadable file or a document type that was not accepted.
Confirm the issue
- Read whether the notice alleges false information or merely requests a correction.
- Compare submitted identities and business roles with authentic records.
- Identify who prepared and approved the submission.
- Preserve the original request and response history.
Review and correction workflow
Review the facts before drafting an explanation. Establish the actual advertiser, payer and provider relationships. Use authentic documents and the official task route; do not modify identity records to make an unsupported business story appear consistent.
Where a genuine error occurred, document what was wrong and use the supported correction or appeal process. If the allegation is mistaken, explain the relevant evidence accurately. Avoid a blanket denial that conflicts with the submitted information.
Illustrative review example
A blurry scan needing replacement and a fabricated identity are not equivalent issues. The exact task response determines which investigation applies.
Is every document rejection a circumvention violation?
No. A rejection alone does not establish fraudulent information. Distinguish the reason stated in the notice from assumptions about it.
Verify the outcome
Keep the original notice, the evidence reviewed and the action taken in one dated record. Confirm the resulting status in the affected account or item. A completed internal checklist is evidence of your review; it does not override Google’s decision.
Related checks and next steps
Use verification documents rejected for a document-task response. Use business operations verification to explain the actual advertiser and provider relationship.
