Google Ads verification documents rejected
Google Ads documentation › Account Issues › Verification Issues
A rejected verification document means the submitted file or information did not satisfy the specific verification task. It should not automatically be described as fraud or a permanent account suspension.
Confirm the issue
- Copy the exact rejection or missing-information reason.
- Match document type to the account’s country and individual/organization task.
- Compare the requested name and address with the relevant account information.
- Check file readability, completeness and the task’s accepted-document requirements.
Review and correction workflow
Prepare a requested-versus-submitted comparison before retrying. If the wrong document type was used, obtain the appropriate authentic document. If account information is wrong, use the proper correction process rather than altering an official document to create a match.
Resubmit through the task and track the resulting status. Keep a record of the version submitted and response received. If the explanation remains unclear, ask through the official support route with the task and rejection details, excluding unnecessary sensitive attachments.
Illustrative review example
An organization uploads a readable file that does not establish the requested business identity. Better image quality alone will not answer the missing evidence requirement.
Should I keep retrying the same file?
Only after establishing why it should meet the request. An unchanged submission does not resolve a known mismatch.
Verify the outcome
Keep the original notice, the evidence reviewed and the action taken in one dated record. Confirm the resulting status in the affected account or item. A completed internal checklist is evidence of your review; it does not override Google’s decision.
Related checks and next steps
Use advertiser-payer mismatches when the rejection concerns business roles. A rejection alone differs from false verification information; use the actual reason in the notice.
