Google Ads payment method verification required
Google Ads documentation › Billing & Payments › Billing Holds & Suspensions
Payment-method verification asks for confirmation connected to billing. It is separate from a successful card charge and may be relevant to a billing suspension appeal or account payment task.
Confirm the issue
- Read the exact task and its deadline in the account.
- Identify which payment method and owner are involved.
- Check the required evidence or verification method.
- Distinguish payer verification from general advertiser identity tasks.
Review and correction workflow
Follow the secure task instructions from the affected account. Supply accurate information relevant to the actual payer and method. Keep a record of the task status and response without circulating financial or identity documents through unverified intermediaries.
After verification, check whether the related appeal or account state has progressed. Upload completion does not establish acceptance, and accepted verification does not by itself establish that every separate restriction is removed.
Illustrative review example
A payment succeeds but the account still requests verification before an appeal can proceed. The transaction and verification task are different requirements.
Can I verify a different person’s details to make it pass?
Use the authentic details and supported relationship for the real payer. Do not fabricate an identity or payment arrangement.
Verify the outcome
Keep the original notice, the evidence reviewed and the action taken in one dated record. Confirm the resulting status in the affected account or item. A completed internal checklist is evidence of your review; it does not override Google’s decision.
Related checks and next steps
Compare advertiser and payer mismatches for identity-role questions. If the account is suspended over a balance, review unpaid-balance suspension separately.
