Google Ads business operations verification
Google Ads documentation › Account Issues › Verification Issues
Business operations verification asks how the advertised business actually works. A clear explanation of the provider, payer and customer journey is different from simply proving that a company exists.
Confirm the issue
- Identify who sells or delivers the advertised product.
- Explain who receives leads, payments and customer enquiries.
- Document relevant agency, reseller or provider relationships.
- Compare the explanation with the website and submitted supporting records.
Review and correction workflow
Draw the commercial journey from the ad click to service delivery. Use accurate role names and distinguish the advertiser from an intermediary. Answer the assigned questions directly instead of substituting a generic company brochure.
Check consistency before submission: the website, account details and business explanation should describe the same real arrangement. Where a relationship needs evidence, provide the relevant documentation through the official task. Do not invent a direct-provider role to make the model appear simpler.
Illustrative review example
A lead-generation agency advertises for another provider. The review should explain who handles the enquiry and delivers the service, rather than describing the agency as the provider.
Does business registration alone complete this task?
It may support identity, but the assigned questions can require additional information about the actual business operations and relationships.
Verify the outcome
Keep the original notice, the evidence reviewed and the action taken in one dated record. Confirm the resulting status in the affected account or item. A completed internal checklist is evidence of your review; it does not override Google’s decision.
Related checks and next steps
