Landing Page Compliance Fixes
Landing page compliance combines a functional destination with an accurate, policy-compliant advertising experience. A page can load correctly and still make a misleading promise; compliant wording does not repair an inaccessible destination. Review both dimensions separately.
This category is part of Fix Guides in our Google Ads documentation. Use it to distinguish the issue type before choosing a detailed guide.
Define the actual ad journey
Use the exact final URL and relevant tracking setup rather than only checking the homepage. Record where the visitor lands after redirects and what action the page asks them to take. Include mobile behavior when relevant.
Separate technical and content findings
Technical checks concern loading, access and URL consistency. Content checks concern the offer, business identity, claims and any category-specific requirements. Give each finding an owner and evidence so the correction can be verified.
Build a practical preflight record
Recommended fields are the advertised offer, destination URL, test date, expected outcome and observed result. Keep screenshots or error details for failures. For business claims, record the evidence and any conditions that a visitor needs to understand.
Verify the corrected experience
Repeat the relevant checks after changes, then follow the review route associated with the notice. Avoid replacing a destination with a cosmetic variant intended to conceal the same policy issue. A preflight is an internal quality check, not a guarantee of Google approval.
