How to review multiple disapproved ads consistently
Google Ads documentation › Fix Guides › How to Fix Disapproved Ads
Reviewing multiple disapproved ads is an organization problem as well as a policy task. Group items by confirmed cause and correction, not simply because they appeared in the same report.
Confirm the issue
- Create a list of IDs, policies, destinations and owners.
- Separate shared-cause groups from unrelated violations.
- Identify repeated assets or landing pages.
- Record correction status before selecting items for review.
Review and correction workflow
Use a working table with one row per affected item and a group identifier for genuine shared causes. Fix the shared source where appropriate, then inspect representative uses and any exceptions. Do not assume a change in one ad propagates to every independently stored asset.
Submit review requests within the applicable supported scope and track each outcome. Google’s current appeal guidance includes limits and duplicate handling, so avoid an indiscriminate cycle of account-wide appeals. Reconcile partial approvals with the original item list.
Illustrative review example
Twenty ads share one broken destination while five have a separate wording issue. One undifferentiated ‘fixed’ flag obscures the remaining work.
Can I mark the whole batch complete after one approval?
No. Verify the status of each affected item or clearly documented group and retain exceptions.
Verify the outcome
Keep the original notice, the evidence reviewed and the action taken in one dated record. Confirm the resulting status in the affected account or item. A completed internal checklist is evidence of your review; it does not override Google’s decision.
Related checks and next steps
Use ad versus asset disapproval to map shared components. Check Destination & Landing Page Issues when multiple items use the same affected URL.
