Payment failures in Google Ads include unsuccessful charges and payments that have not been matched to the expected account balance. A declined card, an uncredited bank transfer and a billing suspension are different situations and need different evidence.

Declined versus uncredited payments
A decline concerns an attempted payment that was not accepted. An uncredited transfer concerns money the sender believes has been sent but which has not appeared as expected. Start with the transaction state and reference rather than assuming both situations require another payment.
Read the billing transaction record
Google’s declined-payment guidance directs advertisers to the Billing Summary for the date, amount and available reason. The bank or card issuer can clarify issuer-side declines. Keep the account notice and transaction result together when discussing the issue internally.
Prepare evidence for reconciliation
Recommended fields include customer ID, payer, amount, currency, date, payment method and transaction reference. For a transfer, compare the instruction used with the account intended to receive the funds. Keep full financial records within the business’s normal access controls.
Avoid creating a duplicate payment problem
Before trying another payment, identify whether the first attempt failed, remains pending or completed. An unclear bank entry is not enough to decide that money needs to be sent again. Resolve the transaction question and check whether a separate verification or account restriction remains.
